Uncommon handle material...on Busse's at least.

Jerry I am working on some a soft micarta like handle material and have had the same problems with shaping it. Try freezing it to make it stiffer to machine. May or may not help with horse stall material but may be worth a try. A pain but it helps.
 
Did anyone ever get this project done? I have been wondering about this as well. I was thinking a BWM would be awesome with this type of handle material. Of course res-c would be best:thumbup:

Maybe someone will try this with a scrapizashi!
 
Hahahahaha. I didn't see the date and as I was reading the OP, I was thinking, "Didn't Randucci do this a few years ago?"
 
I thought I had seen that somewhere. I thought it was a Jeremy Horton knife when I saw it. That ffbm pic is linked somewhere on the USN I just cant find it now.

It's all true. Ducci came through. I've held it ... swung it ... but not chopped with it.

It's a fine knife.:thumbup:
