Under construction...

Yes, thanks so much for showing some of your processes. This knife is unique and well made. You have some honed skills and confidence to apply that basket weave so beautifully.

Very interesting thread. Thanks for taking the time to post the progress.

And that knife promises to be a real beauty!

Kind regards,

Jos

I'm really enjoying the exposure to your work here on BF.
You show much talent.
Personally, I'm not into basket-weave, on knives but can't help but
appreciate your keen execution of the process here.

Look forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks guys!

I appreciate your reviews on my knifebuilding, it makes it more fun to share my picture material. I live in the northern parts of Sweden where the reindeer and moose are common animals in the forests. The native Sami people live here, about 500 km from me in a north-easterly direction. I let myself often be inspired by their craft and the patterns that they use in their Sami handicrafts. basketweave is very common and beautiful in my opinion, but you have to use it in moderation so as it not takes precedence from the rest of knife construction. less is more is a good expression I try to live by in my knifemaking.
