Underrated or harder to find? The Cotton Sampler

I sure do like that Amhers. Very nice Mike! I understand your regret. RLR.. I'm gonna look up your Schatt and Morgan for a more of a side view.

Some cotton samplers have big old belly's :)

Here is Amhers Cutlery variation of the cotton sampler. The curved blade is the more traditional style of cotton sampler. I don't have this knife anymore and kind of regret selling it.

Don't think I would have got rid of that, some very decent looking stag on the knife.

Pattern is an appealing oddball, bit like a Loomfixer.

GEC's Weaver Jack is like a scaled down version of this.

Mike
the cotton samplers he made were some nice knives. i sharpened 241 of his knives and biggest part of them were the cotton sampler.

rlr, to me your knife looks like a sheepsfoot

I love the cotton sampler pattern. I am hoping to find an older GEC cotton sampler with dual bolsters. Just not many companies make alot of them.

I really like that S&M, that long straight blade and rather blunt tip would be great to cut calf nuts with.

I went to a picnic a few years ago where they served steak on paper plates and no tables. With plastic utensils.
All I had along was my Case Swayback Jack. I didn't hurt myself but that paper plate leaked all over my pants afterwards. Good reason to carry a proper clip blade with some belly.
YMMV
