Understanding anvils

I have a few questions on anvils. First of all, I don't have one, I am just getting into this stuff. What is a good size to get started with and not break the bank completely?

If I buy new, what is a good brand for a new anvil?

I use something similar, A 125 JHM journyman anvil. Ductile iron body with a hardened steel face. Lovely tool to have.
