I wasn't impressed with the IRJ either. The one I got had a really crooked edge grind. KSF allowed me to exchange it for a Hawthorne for no charge. I don't blame them for me getting a knife I wasn't satisfied with. I've personally experienced awesome customer service from Derrick. If you have a problem with him, you should let him know. He's more than reasonable. As for a 20% restocking fee, I think it's more than fair. They don't charge it if you do an exchange.

I agree with draggat. I've had several interactions with ksf and no issues. If you buy a lot of knives on line you'll find ksf rocks even more. Many places just shouldn't be in business. But ksf is more than fair in all their policies.

If you don't like ksf, go elsewhere. I'm sure they won't miss ur buesness. Or u could gointo the business ur self and find out how hard it is to actually run a legit business that is as well known as ksf.

Just my two cents.

Back to topic. There is a good case SBJ review thread on here. Just search for it. Sorry don't know how to do a link from my phone.

I recently ordered a knife from them that I wasn't happy with. Couldn't really complain about the 20% restocking fee because I agreed to it but in the future if the knife is available elsewhere I'll definitely factor in the restocking fee. The thing is that DLT had the same knife for a couple bucks less (like literally between $2-3) but I ordered it from KSF. I guess because they seem like nice people from their emails...

I am really sorry you guys feel that way. Believe me, I hate restocking fees as much (actually more) than everyone else.

I can probably count on two hands the number of restocking fees we charge in a year. Almost everyone is grateful for the ability to exchange a knife with 100% store credit. If there is a problem with the knife, we even give a credit for sending it back.

We provide amazing customer service, bountiful selection of knives, fast, free shipping, awesome pictures--and we do have a restocking fee (that we don't hide).

I love our customers and love doing business with them and genuinely want them to love doing business with us. Again, I am very sorry doing business with us was an unpleasant experience.

Without a description of the issue with the knife, this thread doesn't really serve any purpose other then bad mouth a respected Knife dealer.

Perfectly fair policy in broad daylight. I have an will continue to support KSF. Why not exchange it for another knife? They sell GEC as well. But all is fair in business so I hope OP feels better getting that off his chest.

You would be hard pressed to get any better service from Derrick and his group. just sayin, I have bought plenty from him.

I have had nothing but good experiences with KSF, but have never sent an item back. They have always been very responsive to any questions I have had, and have provided great customer service. Sorry about your experience OP, but it is very different than mine.

The Customer service you get from KSF outweighs the restocking fee IMHO, They also have a large selection to choose from for an exchange too. I had to exchange my IRJ also, that's just how it goes sometimes.

No details, no thread. Baseless complaints are not going to fly here anymore. If you do cannot provide facts, save yourself the trouble and don't post. I think this might work against you one of these days. Nothing to see here.

You nailed it.
