Unique Graphic Sebenza

I like the design. I know how you like to keep things looking nice, so you'll no doubt resonate with this thought. There is an characteristic of your knife that is superb for EDC. The anodizing is all contained in relatively "protected" valleys/divots; as such, the oxides won't see a lot of wear. Yes, the colors may fade due to finger oils, etc., but a nice, non-abrasive cleaning will bring them back, as brilliant as new. This is as opposed to anodized surfaces that are comparatively wide/shallow where the oxides can be easily abraded. Take the one below, for instance. EDC would quickly screw up the anodizing beyond repair.

Nice seeing you around my friend. That's interesting about the anodizing on this sebenza, never really thought of it that way. From what you and Haze are telling me, it seems someone extremely talented decided to take their time and create a sebenza that would showcase his or her talents for years to come, interesting thought. Thank You for Sharing always appreciated.

While I'm generally not a fan of the graphics I do love seeing what mill bits they have to play with at the CRK shop and how they play with them. That one that Fooj just posted has some interesting stuff going on. :cool:

I will also agree with the anodising being much longer lasting on a low traffic area. Unless you really treat it badly you should be able to keep the colour in those dimples for pretty much ever. Oils and the like will indeed dim an anodised finish, sometimes quite drastically, but as mentioned giving it a good clean with out abrasives or any sort of pastes etc. will bring the colour back out just like new.

Hmmm... maybe 7/10? It's interesting and quite unique, but there's a substantial amount of "negative" (empty) space and the positive (full) space is a bit overwhelming, leading to a bit of a polarized imbalance. I tend to prefer patterns that are more evenly distributed--or better spaced and less clumpy--over the entire surface. It's also a little hard to evaluate without seeing it open and the damascus illuminated properly.
 
Looking at the graphic alone 3...... Took some skill and labor to do it but I would expect a rhinestone cowboy to be carrying that IMO. That's just my opinion since you asked......
 
I don't know why but Liberace comes to mind every time I look at this Sebenza. When the sun hits this sebbie it makes me feel like hitting the disco floor and dancing the night away, kind of like that spinning disco ball, Awesome.

Hi dinokay -

I was thinking that knife looks like one that Liberace would have made. Nothing negative about that, it just looks "showman flashy". The other thought was that it looks effervescent (fizzy). It is interesting to me that CRK does not decorate the back side of these knives.

In the end, it is a pretty knife with a nice patterned damascus blade, and it is well made.
