All,

For your consideration is a pattern-welded yari head made by ABS Master Smith Howard Clark. It is composed of 1152 layers of W-1 and wrought iron, and the shape is known as "sasasho", or bamboo leaf. It is not polished, and it is in a shirasaya.

I bought this piece many years ago, and my tastes and interests have changed. It deserves a proper polish & a traditional shirasaya (or a full set of mounts!) This piece will be stuning once polished. The hada is already visible when you look at the steel closely.

This is the only one in existence. Howard made just three of those but the other two had flaws. According to my communication with Christine Clark, he wouldn't take a commission for one at this time. Furthermore as you know Howard's swords are not available in pattern welded steel anymore.

I am offering it at $895 + shipping, + 3% if using paypal. This is very reasonable given that it is below the current price for an unpolished 1086M tanto.

Feel free to contact me with any question or offer, preferably by email at: j.delage@gmail.com
