I've been away for a bit, but I've finally found a partner to work with and things are really turning around!

We've started making San Mai in unusual combinations.

A-High carbon core, mild cladding, single nickel spacer.
B-High carbon core, mild steel cladding, nickel/steel/nickel spacer.
C-1095 core, stainless steel cladding.
D-O1 core, stainless steel cladding. Notice the crystalline structure along the weld line....This is my favorite mix, but then I'm fairly partial to O1.

We're also working on some S5 core/stainless cladding, but nothing ready for photos yet.

We'll also taking custom orders for anyone who wants something special welded up to their own spec's.

We also will weld stick tangs onto billets for an additional $5/tang, for those who are interested in maximizing your billets.

The core for A and B will probably be 1095 or 1084. The samples in the picture are 1084.
