Anyone know if Universal Stdios in L.A. have metal detectors or knife carry rules like some parks (eg Sea World)? I am heading there tomorrow.

honestly why even take the risk? my guess is a pat down with the occasional wand.

but unless you want to get there and find out they do have detectors you will be running back to the car or throwing the knife in the trash.

going through security with a blade is always bad news and not worth the risk. if i were you i would bring my edc, and just simply leave the blade in the car until i was done looking at the fishes

Will, Please let us know when you get back so we'll know for future reference what kind of security procedures they have.

Just got back. No metal detectors or pat downs, no signs prohibiting knives eithers. They do hand searches of bags however, presumably looking for booze or big obviously illegal things.
