Unknown Origins?

I need help in identifying a knife I found in the garage of a house I moved into. Everyone I have asked has differing opinions and I really would like to know! There are no markings anywhere that I can see, help please!!

It is one of them new-fangled invisible knives, don't ya' know? Cold Steel still has it in the works.

But seriously, your description doesn't tell us a thing. There are so many different knives out there.......
