I got an Unmarked un named Uncle Henry Schrade 498 from a flea market here in Kentucky. It has no name at the bottom of the blade or anywhere else but I know this Knife by heart because I owned one growing up from age 10 to age 22. Can anyone tell me if an unmarked knife would be worth more or less than a marked one??

I'm not familiar with this particular knife but "unmarked" usually means "counterfeit/clone/copy/same design different manufacturer" if that is the case it is worth less.

a lot of schrades show up here at flea mrkts in east tn. most of the unmarked r either fakes or last of old stock before they went under. i have seen some that were just plain fixed blades. i had a expericenced knife dealer look at one he said it was usa made at the end of their production. i would take to a knife dealer who makes a living dealng with knives, will give u a honest opinion of what u have
