Unofficial Kershaw Pictures Thread -- Post your pics!

Hey! I thought mine was Number 1!

;);):D

I likes the pictures, but to help out a little, maybe try taking off or turning down the flash--that would make the awesome pictures even better.

Yeah, I mentioned in the Skyline review thread that I didn't have my
box with me. Read Photo Box. So there is a glare from the photo lamp.

Ah, sorry 'bout that.
They still came out great--I love the comparison between the 0301 and the skyline.

Lately I've become enamored of Kershaw's olive drab anodized aluminum handles and decided to try to acquire a few...I've got 3 so far:

:D
OD3.jpg

From top to bottom:

Blur, S60V (Mar08), Stonewashed (1670S60V)
Leek, 440A (Mar07), black DLC (1660OLBLKST)
Scallion, 420HC (May03), black DLC (1620OLBLK)

I like the subtle byplay of gold and bronze and copper I can see in the green...:D The different examples do vary somewhat in tone (e.g. the Scallion is lighter) and the color evens out with extensive handling (e.g. the Leek).

I'm not sure how many varieties in olive drab are left out there other than the 2 I'm after right now but don't yet have: the Leek without serrations (1660OLBLK), and the Scallion with non-coated blade (1620OL). If anyone reading this is aware of more, please feel free to respond.

Thanks,

Ray :)

Some mediocre pics of some fine Kershaw Leeks, all in G10...

Left and right:
1660G10, stonewashed flat-ground S30V and coarse G10
1660T1G10, satin hollow-ground 440A and diagonally machined G10

Top to bottom:
1660CGT, satin hollow-ground S30V and coarse G10
1660CGTST, satin hollow-ground S30V (combo-edged) and coarse G10
1660PGT, satin hollow-ground S30V and polished G10

I really like the polished G10 and the diagonally machined G10...:D

I like the olive drab.

Kershaw need's to make a Cyclone in olive drab.

That would be a good looking knife !

You're right...the Cyclone would be perfect in Olive Drab, and would look good with either a satin or black blade (although I'd prefer black).

Kershaw Blur in S60V Processing Turkey Breast into Stirfry:
Kitchen knife is not doing its job anymore.
Had to bring out the Blur.

you are braver than most of us for actually using your s60v blur. looks like it handled the job nicely.

Buck guys said the same thing about the fact that I breasted the turkey, de-faned it, and de-winged it with my Buck 802SS.

If it can not slice up meat, well....... However, it won't be used on wood, plastic, or anything else that might mar the blade. It did work well. It is a different cut then the Buck of course and took a second to find the sweet spot slicing. It passed through the meat like butter though and the stirfry was GOOD eating.

I guess I'm just of the camp that a knife is meant to be used, even if just gently.

As to value, and I ask this out of curiosity...
- Would the value drop due to being being used but with no perceptible wear?
- Is it going to be exclusive enough that unless marred, there is no difference in value?
- If I never sell it, what is the value of never having used it?
