Unusual 112 ?

I must really be losing it... I could have sworn I put up a picture of this one a while back

That's a cool coincidence...I just read a post over at ARFCOM about steel stamps, and several people posted links/pics of their 'cartouches'...One guy specialized in military rifle stock cartouches...Lemme see if I can find his site...

Here it is -

Stock Cartouche Stamps

I only mention this because it is a lot easier to go down to/online order a dozen Wal-Mart 110's and stamp the sheath flap, rather than pay or wait for Buck to do your 200+ knife order...

That is, if you were commemorating an event or something... ;)

That sheath is pretty cool for a collector. Never seen one like it, doesn't appear to be any markings on the knife.

as DM said their were many 'company' that were done out side of buck
buck sway is always emailing me liinks to advertiseing or other odd bucks for my thoughts..
many i have to tell him that i jest dont know ,,
and you can not always tell jest by if it looks "Buck'ish"
the swains issue dont look buck at all but is in the list!
i have found several knives that are fully "Buck" with coa's
but are NOT on the 'list' of special issues i have.
and i have not learned of an updated list so you jest have to go by your gut feeling
brings to mind ever more collect what you like not what others like..

Nice ebony on that one.

Thanks. It looks even better in person, wasn't much light when I took the pic

Absolutely. My boss does that at X-mas, but he has it done to some cheesy Chinese lockbacks. The stamps for older guns is really overwhelming, there are so many different ones...

Nope. No markings on the knife, which is o.k with me....

I'm still going through the learning curve with the Bucks, so I don't know a lot about them. The thing that made me think it was a factory order is that the detail on the stamping is very good and its a NS 112. Where there very many NS 112'S made for normal retail ?

Yep ! That sheath is a keeper...Looks like a aftermarket company did it...Nice peice of 'Americanna' !
