Unusual Nessmuk !

a little too space age looking for me.. not at all what i envision when i think of a nessmuk..

George Sears goes to mars..the new frontier... LOL Not my speed but it's probably a heck of a blade

Just goes to show what a popular resurgance the Nessmuk pattern is having.

It might be a modern interpretation, using modern materials, but with a good edge, it should be a very useful knife. I'm getting one.

I like that design. Looks very useful for outdoor use, especially as a skinning knife.

Is there any place where the pic isn't hosted on Photobucket? Can anybody email me it? I'd like to see.

can you see this one?

I was looking forward to a small design from SY, but this isn't what I had in mind. I will not be getting one of these. I can't afford one right now anyway, but if I could I still wouldn't get one.

No doubt, it is going to be a sweet knife, it just doesn't appeal to me.

Same here...I don't think the design is so hot. I loved the style and feel of the SOD so I got one CG and one LE but I can't keep the LE...I won't use it. Not really bummed that they came out with a Nessie, but I'm bummed I ain't getting a new knife from the Yard!

It looks pretty nice. Has SY taken care of their gap problem with the mudder handles yet?

It looks utilitarian enough. To me it looks very much like one of the plastic handled kitchen variety knives. SY makes some pretty good knives from what I've read and the ones I have handled seem very well made. This one looks like a kitchen skinning knife to me though.

I've been lusting over getting nessmuk for awhile now and that ill be my next knife purchase, that thing is urghhh no comment except that it looks more like a hickory skinner with a space age handle on it.

The blade shape is very nice, more Grohmann-like than nessmuk maybe. The handle is terrible, though. Just ruins the knife. It may even be comfortable, but this color and texture combination just look bad.

I used to be a SYKCo fan and still use my DogFather, but with all the frustration of buying and wating, etc., I found that I like the Rat Cutlery knives much better for what I need.

I like the blade shape there and don't mind the handle, but isn't 3/16 a bit thick for a slicer?

Definitely a hint of Grohmann here. If you take the back spine down a bit and angle the ricasso more abruptly, you get an outline that looks a lot like the #4 Survival.

Looks like a great user. I'm not a fan of the handle material, but I'm sure there's a market for it.

I dub this the Tacti-Muk!

All the best,

- Mike
