ive always excited to see new knives from you man, and this one is by far my favorite! im wishing i had the money for this one..... good luck with the sale man.

Great looking knife, wish I had the funds to buy it. I like everything about it including the green micarta.

Thanks everyone for comments. I sorta went out of my safety zone with this one and was hesitant with the green handles. The comments so fare makes me feel better.

it's bright now but with use I bet it darkens to a nice green. Normal green micarta turns almost black with use I bet these will look better than people think with a little use.

OK, that one didn't last long and is headed to Everglades, Thanks lamarrblade. You know I sorta thought that those grips looked like gator skin, lol.

Lets here it, should I make more with this color handle or not.

Making Mycarta is a pain in A and cost four times as much as buying the normal stuff. But it's nice to have something different.

Whats your thoughts and suggestions on this or any other knife ideas.

Thanks All

Will

Two cents inbound,

That is one outstanding looking knife!
It is a little on the large side for my taste, but that doesn't detract from it any.
I like the green, and think that the whole knife was well executed.
Different strokes for different folks, some like a little flair and others like things plain.

One thing that I have been curious about is if it would be possible or advantageous to form the micarta directly on the knife, I assume that it wouldn't make any huge improvements, but it would be an interesting feature.

Nice knife.

I love the scale color , it not only looks unique but you would be hard pressed to lose it in the shrubbery.

Well done ! :)

I am digging on the handmade phenolics. That color is interesting and would be super cool layered with a burlap or just a brown color.
I love this knifes shape and think it would be a winner in many lengths. Especially a 3.5" blade w/ exposed pommel and no choil. But that's just me.;) This one looks like a perfect camp knife and I hope we see user pics and a review.

I like the knife a lot but not the scales (both the deep grooves and the color). Make the same with canvas micarta or G-10 and I'll buy it.

Love the blade. Love the green. Would still love the blade with diffent handle. Keep em coming.

Interesting idea,

Don't know if I would want to try it. Making this stuff is a messy business. it would be a pain to keep the rest of the blade clean of risen.

In case you don't know this, you probably do,true Micarta is made while under pressure and heat set. Not many people can that at home.
Thats why we call home made stuff Mycarta.

One thing that I have been curious about is if it would be possible or advantageous to form the micarta directly on the knife, I assume that it wouldn't make any huge improvements, but it would be an interesting feature.

Nice knife.[/QUOTE]

Not much you couldn't do with this.

Blade is a good size, but not in the realm of fantasy (too big to actually be carried in the field).

I like the good positive grip that this would provide, but still has a forward finger groove to allow you to choke up on it a bit for more controlled work.

Good job on providing jimping. Thumbs are there for a reason. Many overlook this on a blade of this size.

I also like the three hollow rivets, as long as by using three of these you don't give up any on their job of holding down the scales.

I like anything green. Handles are good, but I would add something to break the color up a bit, like some intermittant dark green or black flakes of some sort. Not necessarily a camo pattern, but something to mellow it a bit.

IMHO.

I love it. Unique! Nice texture. Excellent logo design. Very appropriate for this St.Pats day week! Makes me think of a giant "Irish Spring" soap bar for the scales-LOL
If it was Stainless it would make a bass ass Crocodile Dundee dive knife.
