I'll be having some special guests at this year's HI's. Tom Militano (Missed Placed Yankee) and Fred Rowe (Ole Fart) are tentatively planned to be hear in summer time. Once their travel plans are set I'll be scheduling HI's around their plans.:D
I am still planning for a major HI 1st with a 30 to 40 head count in the spring and Mini-HI's monthly.:D
I will be cooking some good old Portagee style food for the lunches.:D
I am open for suggesting on demo's and what ever the attendees would like to see.
PS: I'll will not be doing any striptease this year.  :barf: HEHEHEHEHE!!!

Tom and Fred at the same place at the same time? Bring some earplugs.....:D

Nah, both of these guys are super nice people and are more than willing to share lots of valuable information.

Tom just lives 12 miles up the road from me, and he ain't half bad for an imported yank.

You guys should have a blast.

Robert

I'm looking forward to this spring. Went to fire up my forge this morning but it was too cold for my little propane tank to evaporate enough to maintain a flame =( Need to get myself a bigger tank, which im planning on donig when i get a new blown forge built =P

Hey IG,
I'll be up in the area the first week of April. Lots of running around to do, but I'd like to stop by if we're both free!

Lets see if the lil ms. lets me out again :foot: ;) Start a list and I'll start scavenging I think I have a good line on some 8" steel pipe for the forges, always enough rebar to go around too :) want some 1 3/4" bars from yankee stadium

After reading the write-up and picture in KI of you, George, I should refer to you as MR. IG. OK, I'm over it, Mr. Rascal! I wish I could make it to your great events, but it's just too dang far for me to travel. I hope your weather is great and you all have a grand time, and stay on the right side of the jail bars.

Hey IG, when you set the date for the large hammer-in shoot me an email with the dates. I don't know if we'll be able to break free for a trip up north as Kathryn's trying to finish up her Ph.D. by this Summer, but if we can, we'll be there! We might be neighbors soon...she's interviewed for a faculty position at a university near Boston...

:)

No shortage of universities near boston, best of luck to her in getting a position. Can never be too many knife makers in the area! As someone who only really started on blades this last october, after general blacksmithing for a year as a hobby, IG's hammerins have been the best thing to happen to me to meet people who know what theyr'e doing and just learn a great amount of info.
