Hello, I'm new in the forum and hoping to break the ice with a trade. I'm a female amateur collector of knives, lighters, and taxidermy mostly. I'm looking to trade this 1940s WWII Camillus folding knife for another neat antique knife, antique flint lighter(s) (NO gas lighters), or some small piece of taxidermy/antique medical equipment. Especially interested in unique antique lighters by Ronson or similar. Lighters don't necessarily have to be in perfect working condition. Fixing them up is part of my passion.

I've left the knife in as-is condition, because if you're anything like me, you'll get as much joy out of cleaning it up yourself as owning it. Pay attention to photos. I've taken high quality pics to best show the knife. What you see if what you will receive. I've also included a snap shot from the 1946 Camillus catalog, showing this knife (third from the bottom).
The 1946 Camillus catalog lists this knife as a "Maritime Commission and Merchant Marine Sailor's Knife".
Looks like the carbon steel has been sharpened in the past, the very edge may have been shaped a little. Steel bolsters, liners, pins and bail/shackle. As seen in the pics is as far as the knife will close at this time. May need some working on, or may be how it's intended. I own some other Camillus but not in this style, so I am not sure.

Stamp pretty worn and difficult to read. I had to take a macro shot and enlarge it (vastly) on my computer to make it out. It is the 1941-1946 tang stamp:
CAMILLUS
CUTLERY CO
CAMILLUS, N.Y.
U.S.A.

If you have any questions please feel free. I don't have feedback in the forum (yet) but can show feedback from both Etsy & eBay, all positive, upon request. I love trading and look forward to working with ya'll!

*please note all photos were taken with flash. If you'd like daylight photos without flash, feel free to ask. If I've done something wrong in this thread please let me know! I'm not only new to this forum, but forums in general. Shipping is USPS first class with delivery confirmation (tracking). I expect the same from your end as well.
