Up Your Irish

In my tradition of giving inappropriate gifts I have badly re-handled a rusty $5 e-bay ax head and will present it as St. Patrick's Ax which he used to run the snakes out of Ireland. So it's off to see the little people of Wadmalaw Island, SC and find their pot of ...BEER! My niece's husband, Donald, will love this ax and we will probably have to lock it away before the party is over. Now I have to decide on a 'party knife' to wear, something in green hhmmm...

Any party were it becomes necessary to lock an ax away sounds like one heck of a good time to me! I'm home cooking corned beef and cabbage with some nice red taters. I know, you are wondering what the heck a polock cares about St. Patty's, but I have Irish and probably a wee bit o' Scottish blood running from my mother's side. I am a mutt, it's true. Anyway, kilt weather is upon us, I have to get them out of the closet and be sure my pleats are nicely creased. :D

We had our traditional St. Paddy's breakfast. Now to find some Harp and Jameson's for tonight.

:eek:I was getting ready to come to work today and got in my car and remembered it was St Patty's day and turned around and went home to put Green on cause....LAST year I forgot and the whole crew kept pinching me:eek:

HAPPY ST PATTYS DAY ALL

Getting started!!

Lunch:
1 - Sheppard's Pie
1 - Pint of Guiness
1 - Shot of Jamesons

Great attitude adjustment for the rest of the work day. Now I gotta figure out how to leave early today, get the wifey's nod, and go meet up with my buds who have taken the rest of the day off... :)

I don't have any Irish whiskey in the house, and the beer can wait until dinner to wash down the corned beef, so for now I had to settle for an ice cold martini with a drop of green food coloring. :D:thumbup:

Such a good idea that I stole it. They say imitation is the best form of flattery.

You'd think I'd had cabbage, but it was just the Fiber One bar. :o
