This will be the permanent thread for future sales and pre-orders. Ill get this thread stickied at the top.

All upcoming sales and pre-orders will be announced here and will be listed for sale in the knifemakers fixed blade for sale area on the exchange at the scheduled time which will typically be Wednesdays at 7:00PM EST.

Thanks and happy hunting!

Alright boys, Today's the day. I will be launching the Tyrant Bowie Pre-order at 4:00PM EST in the knife makers fixe blade for sale area. I will have 50 Z Tuff blades available and 40 CPM 3V blades available for order. I will also be listing 8 Prototypes at a great discount. I am also GIVING AWAY 2 Tyrant Bowies. So order and hope the random number generator picks you!

This launch has already been delayed a few times so I'm just saying "F*** it, we"ll do it live!"

I do not have pictures of all the scale options, completed production blade, or cerakote options, BUT we will make this work.

First, I want to go over the differences between the prototype blade pictured and the production model.

The production model will look almost exactly like the prototype with 3 small changes
1. The fuller is slightly longer and a little bit deeper + we added a small cutout in the tang to further reduce weight. These two changes cut out around 2 ounces.
2. The scales are 3/8th thick instead of 1/2in (this is much more comfortable, trust me)
3. The production model will be stonewashed and has precision ground flats (no mill scale)

- Note, these WILL have tooling marks on the fuller, but the stonewashed finish on the bevels and flats will be impeccable. I think everyone will be super happy with the fit and finish, these are lightyears better than the Fell Beast.

I don't want you to have to commit to the scales and blade finish options without first seeing them, so heres how this will work. Basically, pick the steel you want today and place a deposit, and then you can finalize your scales and blade finish options in 2-3 weeks when I have pictures up of all the different handle materials and cerakote options. To do this, just edit your original post.

To order:
1. Post in this thread and specify if you would like Z Tuff or CPM 3V, (or one of the 8 Z Tuff prototypes). A $400 deposit will be due today to lock in your order at the discounted pricing.
After you post, send me an email to huntsmanknifeco AT gmail DOT com with your real name, forum name, and post number and I will send you a PayPal invoice. (please make sure your PP shipping address is the place you want your knife sent)
2. Once I have the pictures of the scales and blade finish options posted, go back and edit your original post and select the scales and blade finish you would like. I will have the pictures up in around 2-3 weeks.
3. The remaining balance will be due when your blade is ready to ship. I will send you a second PP invoice when your blade is finished.

Turn around time for these will be absolutely rapid. Both the Z Tuff version will begin shipping in 3-4 weeks and and the 3V version will begin shipping in 5-6 weeks.

Now, onto the actual blade, which is pretty kick@ss if you ask me.

The Tyrant Bowie Specs
  • Z Tuff 61RC or CPM 3V steel 61RC both with optimal low temper heat treat and cryo.
  • 13.3in blade
  • 19.2in overall
  • .290 thick
  • 2.4in tall at widest point
  • Finish: Fully Stonewashed with tooling marks visible on the fuller.
  • ~.030 BTE thickness
  • Weight- Roughly 31 ounces. with terotuf, will vary depending on handle material.
The Tyrant Bowie is the first blade from our Tyrant Lineup. The goal of the Tyrant line is simple, make the biggest, baddest interpretation of a classic design while maintaining maximal performance.

We engineered this model from the ground up to be the king of all bowies. With a 13.3in blade that flares to a whopping 2.4in at its widest point, the Tyrant Bowie dwarfs the competition.

Even with its impressive dimensions, the Tyrant Bowie is still well balanced, nimble, and suitable for knife tasks like carving, food prep, and fire starting. When it comes to chopping, this thing packs a serious punch despite its light weight frame.

Featuring possibly the largest swedge ever done on a production knife, the the tip of Tyrant Bowie gracefully transitions to a natural distal taper keeping the tip light and snappy for brush clearing.

High quality pancake style Kydex sheath with TEK LOCK included.

Alright, first up, I have 35 more Fell Beast Legacy Prime in Z Tuff that will be available Next Wednesday November 13th at 7:00PM in the Knifemakers Fixed Blades for Sale Area

This sale will be the end of end of this model aside from a handful I'll have left over for the website and some factory seconds and one off's.

I'll have most of these done before the sale so, turn around time for shipping will be only 2 weeks.

Price is $565--> $499 shipped CONUS with a crappy but functional nylon pouch sheath
. All will be fully stonewashed with scale options being Grey, Blue, or Green Terotuf.

Kydex sheaths for these just take me too long to make. I do not have enough hours in my week to get all of these done on time so I will be shipping these with a nylon pouch sheath. I have lowered the price by $65 to reflect this. apologize for not being able to include sheaths but I am simply out of time to get these all done. Use the money you are saving to buy a nice sheath from a real sheath maker.

This is a $120 discount vs. the standard price on the website and I think its a great value. The Fell Beast is probably the biggest knife you've ever seen.

That said, these will have grit marks and tooling marks visible, the bevels are not perfectly even, and the tang on these is all slightly proud. If you want a wallhanger, this isn't for you. If you want a light weight monster chopper to beat on, this is your blade.

If you have never owned a Fell Beast, you have no idea how monstrous these things are. The Fell Beast will make your biggest chopper feel like a toy.
Have a Busse Battle Mistress? The blade of the Fell Beast alone is 2 inches longer than an entire Battle Mistress
Think your Carothers Behemoth feels almost like a short sword? The Fell Beast's cutting edge is roughly 5 inches longer.
Really went off the deep end and bought a Busse Gladius? The Fell Beast has an even longer blade, but weighs 15 ounces less.

  • Steel- Z Tuff 61RC
  • Overall Length 24in
  • Blade Length 18in
  • Weight 25.7 ounces
  • .142in thick
  • Price: $499 shipped and Paypaled w/ a crap tastic pouch sheath that does the trick.
Sick of big clunky choppers that can’t cut and cheap @$$ machetes that will snap the first time you use them? Don’t worry, we’ve got the medicine. The Fell Beast is a hard use hybrid blade that bridges the gap between machete and big chopper. Made specifically for use in hardwood forests, the Fell Beast is the ultimate tool for when you find yourself in the thick of it. The Legacy Prime edition is the culmination of 10 years of development with the Fell Beast model. We’ve taken everything we love about the Fell Beast and maxed out the stats. With a fuller, high flat grind, skeletonized tang, and Terotuf handles, the Legacy Prime delivers serious chopping power and durability while maintaining quickness and balance in hand. Constructed from the toughest knife steel on the planet, the Fell Beast is ultra resilient and resistant to breakage despite its light weight and thin stock. Weighing in at only 25.7 ounces, this blade weighs less and carries easier than many large knives while packing devastating chopping power, reach, and quickness for clearing brush.

Quick Announcement:

I will not be including a kydex sheath with the next sale and will be shipping these in a nylon pouch style sheath. They are really crappy but get the job done. I have lowered the price by $65 to reflect this.

These giant sheaths just take too long to make and I've come to the realization that don't have enough available work hours to produce them. Use the money you are saving to buy a real sheath from a real sheath maker.

Chad Pirtle can run sheaths for these in leather and I'm working on getting one of these blanks to a kydex maker so you won't have to send your blade in.

Good news is, almost all of my future models will have professionally made sheaths included so I can get back to being a knife maker and not a sheath maker 😅

I understand but that’s a bummer. You put out decent sheaths.

Hope you will set something up with a sheath maker so future offerings will include one in the price and blade arrives in the sheath and not sticking out of the box with a damaged tip, etc.

All future models (except maybe one) will have a professionally made sheath included in the price. I think having a sheath is super important.

Im modifying the nylon pouches with extra rivets at the tip so the blade cant poke through during shipping or use 👍

Alright everyone, the Tyrant Bowies will be ready shortly. Ill have a testing video and the order instructions up soon. Tentatively planning to launch these on Friday 01/17/ 25 at 4:00 PM EST.

I will have 50 Z Tuff Bowies ready for immediate purchase with a 2-3 week turn around time and a pre-order for 50 in CPM3V with a 5-6 week turn around time.

Pricing will be:
Z Tuff $950 --> $850
3V $1150--> $1050

+ $100
for black cerakote
+ $400 for the 24K special edition with gold cerakote and gold carbon fiber scales. This rendition will blow your mind

Price includes CONUS shipping and your choice terotuf, G10, or micarta w/ a very nice Kydex sheath!

I will also be giving away 2 of these at launch. Ill use a random number generator to pick two lucky winners who will get their order free 👍

Got some good news today, the CPM 3V sheets will be ready in 10 days so we will have much faster turn around time. Guessing 4-6 weeks. With the demise of Crucible, this will probably be the last CPM 3V blades I make 😭 I'm sure the Erasteel or Carpenter version will be an equivalent product, but it won't hit the same when you can no longer say CPM 3V.

The prototypes will be arriving back from HT this week so I will have a great testing video for you guys!

Bad news, my camera man is stuck in Dallas due to the snow storms so we are going to have to push the sale to Friday at the earliest so I can get a testing video completed and good pics up in time.

Good news... the Gold inlayed carbon fiber came in and its absolutely unreal. This is the coolest material I've ever seen.

I don’t know if you’re doing any with the black/gold or if they’re going to be as requested. Either way, I definitely want one with the black/gold CF

Ill be offering the gold/black CF scales in combination with a gold cerakote blade as the "24K" special edition. It will be available in the order thread with no quantity cap.

I could probably offer the gold/black CF scales as an option on their own but it would be crazy expensive. Ill look into it.
