Just a heads up on this. I've requested quotes from Great Eastern, Canal Street, and Ontario / Queen.

Thus far I've heard back from Great Eastern and Canal Street.
  • Bill @ Great Eastern has said that because they do not make a model at all similar to this, the tooling will cost $5000, which / 200 = $25 extra per knife. That said, he's working on putting together pricing and alternatives.
  • Walter @ Canal Street replied with:
Thanks for thinking of Canal Street Cutlery we have been fortunate to have your business in the past. In looking at this years model we offer only one size Trapper 4 1/8" closed. Our knife has caps and bolsters we use either stainless or brass lining stock.
We could make our Trapper bear head and the blade selections are no problem. Pinning a shield is expensive, tooling a Bomb type shield will cost around $600.00. As much as we would like to quote I don't think we would be competitive.
Just an update as we find out more information.
