Just a quick  for Strider Knives.

To be clear, the parts did not arrive and they did not answer back either.
I have been carrying my SNG PD1 Cobalt for some time and this thing is as perfect as it can get. Not pretty perfect, but functional and tough as nails perfect.
Last night I shot an email to strider and I asked for a small favor in the form of a spare part/s for my knife for future use and maintenance.
I explained the reason and I would cover the cost and would not need to send in my knife as it has had its share of use and is smooth and solid as ever. It is also my only knife, and all I need.
Today mid day they sent me an email and said they would send them out free of charge.
Edited: Not followed up on and no parts in mail.

Good to hear bro! Thanks for posting up.... may want to wait to post until you get the part in though... they promised me some new screws for a DB about 3 months ago... still nothing lol. I'm sure they will come through for you though, they didn't have any screws in stock when I requested them, said it would be a couple of weeks.

Ive collected Striders for some time and got lucky i guess up until recently i had my first lemon.... lego SnG that didnt have enough tension on the lockbar that wouldn't get positive lockup. Im sure they would have reimbursed shipping but i sold it to someone who wanted to take the time to send it in (i let them know about the issue). I have a new one incoming and hoping for the best!

Well, I just sold it for some quick cash. This was ideal, but I needed the money for a gift at the moment.
I have been lucky 3 for 3 all perfect.
After this I am going back to CRK for a while. I miss owning a sebenza 21.
I will notify if the washers arrive like they should. Snail mail should arrive tomorrow or Monday the latest i would think.

I am going to take care of it and use it as was intended. Thanks for the opportunity to own this. I cannot wait to get it.

Strider is well, Strider.

I have owned a few, zero issues ever.
I know that's not the same experience everyone has had though, and it's unfortunate, because when the knives are solid, they are wonderful.

Never had a chance to test their CS, but I have full confidence they will help me out.

Thank you Strider for your never ending use of some of the most interesting steels so we can all try them.

Not sure where the knife world would be without the influence of Strider/RHK/CRK but no three companies have had a bigger impact in design and ideology.
They are the constant that bring casual knife owners slowly into the world of customs, and knife nuttery...

Maybe some people see that as a negative, but I think this entire industry owe's those 3 companies a lot of thanks....

Sometimes in the politics of their popularity, we forget that they also make a damn fine knife, especially Strider.....

Years ago I dropped a brand new Strider off a roof onto some concrete. It was high enough up that when it fell the G10 near the pivot was crushed in so that the knife could not be opened or closed without a ton of force. It was completely my fault and I didn't expect Strider would cover it, but I sent it in and they promptly returned it to me and it looked like a brand new nice.

Another Strider I bought had a sticky lock. I sent it in and they could not detect any issue, so they offered to send me a replacement knife, and even offered an upgraded digicam blade model.

I have certainly had overwhelming positive customer service experiences with Strider and they have been nothing but prompt, friendly, and helpful.

I am not changing my opinion of Strider knives ( the cutting tool itself) not the company. They are Tough SOB's.
However as noted in the title and first post. The parts were apparently not sent. And I did not get another reply from them.
Glad it was not something important.
I had an issue with them in the past and I guess they are still so,so.
Im happy I was able to finally get my favorite CRK anyhow!:D
