Update, Kismet had to go and ask. kinda long.

We haven't forgotten you out here in Virginia.

Smoke and prayers still going up.

Hang in there!!

Hi Yvsa,

Sounds like you might have a Good Pain Doc if He/She is willing to work with cranking the pump up when needed.
I had a MS pump implanted back in 2004, and after about 60 days, my bod rejected it, and while I was in the hosp having the pump ex-planted my Wife was hit so hard in a car accident that She has had to have Her C-spine fused, then revised and now She is a Chronic Intractable Pain pt as well as myself... so We can really sort of understand some of Your agony... Hang in there.. hope that once the surgery is done for You that things will settle down a bit..
Sending All the Best to You ,
Ed and Sandra

Thanks everyone for all the Smoke, Prayers, and Support, it is indeed very much appreciated, much more than I can say actually!!!!  :D

And Special Thanks to you and your dear bride Ed! Special because they are coming from someone who can truly understand what it's like to go through this kind of pain even if we all feel pain differently.
I keep telling everyone how grateful I am that my condition isn't any worse because I look around daily and see a terribly bunch of folks that are much worse off then I am....:(

It's a damned shame your body rejected the MS pump Ed, I can't imagine what life would be like right now if it wasn't for mine.... And I do have a good Pain Mgmt Doc Ed, I'm going in Monday for another boost!!!!
And I sure do hope they got acceptable images with this last heart test because they'd have to do something differently if I had to be tested anywhere near soon again!:grumpy:

If you don't mind saying Ed how is your and your bride's pain being kept in control without the benefits of a pain pump, providing Sandra doesn't have one either? Methinks you must live in a state of misery indeed.:(
My email is listed if you would rather talk about it privately and/or if you don't want to speak of it at all I can understand that too.

Edit:
Ed, you and Sandra wouldn't happen to live close to the now famous or infamous Tuttle's or their shop would you? :D <VBESEG>
I bet y'all get asked that a lot. Kinda like me being ndn, when people find out they're always asking me. Since you're ndn do you happen to know "Billy Jack," "Wes Studi," or "Brutus Washington?"
We do indeed know Brutus. ;)

Keep your spirits high, Yvsa, no matter how low your body feels. Prayers from here.

Went back to pain management doctor's office today and had another pump boost. Sheila upped it another milligram a day so in a couple of days things ought to ease up again.

HI Yvsa!
Just got around to reading here.... I'll drop a line here tomorrow and fill You in!!
Regards, Ed and Sandy

Prayers from the west coast.

Chronic pain is such a b***h to deal with. It really can drag you down mentally.
Do the best you can to stay up. Good luck with the pain management. Hugs for your dear wife.

Damn Yvsa. I'm very sorry to hear this brother. I will send smoke your way. I am very impressed that you are braving these tests and treatments. My FIL is completely avoiding any test that could give bad news.

Prayers and smoke fer ya Yvsa, my wifes been sick and outa work for 2 years now and the constant testin' and regiment of doctor visits is very exhausting, (for both of us, since I do all the drivin').

Between the doctors, testing and never gettin' a straight answer from anyone it's difficult to plan anything, let alone enjoy a normal week.

I know how ya feel brother, just keep movin' ahead towards the right diagnosis.

If ya need to talk drop me an email with your phone # and we'll talk.;)

..

Thanks guys! All of your positive thoughts, smoke, and prayers are very encouraging.  :D

All of our company left yesterday morning to go home to their respective states. We had 2 kids, 4 grandkids, and 1 of their friends, from Arizona, and then 1 of them brought her 3 kids over for a sub total of 10....
Then 1 kid, her husband and 2 of their kids from Pennsylvania for a grand total of 13 along with 1 dog from each state, 1 a big black Lab mix, Lucy, and 1 one of the larger sized Chihuahuas, Otto. Then of course Barbie and me and our dog Ace so we had 11 full sized adults, 2 good sized teenagers, 3 munchkins and 3 dogs in our wittle bitty house.
And that's not counting another granddaughter and 2 of our great grandkids that came over for a while on Friday!!!!
And everybody slept here except for 1 of our daughters and her 3 kids she brought over everyday.
Made for a Great and Wonderful time but Barbie and I was sure glad it wasn't any longer than from about noon Thursday until about 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning!!!! :D

We did have 1 catastrophic mishap ---- the expanding bolts that holds the flange down that in turn holds the commode down to the floor failed and in turn all of that caused the wax ring seal to fail and we had a nasty leak and a very wet floor around the front of the commode from around Saturday at noon until yesterday about 5:00 p.m.
We called a couple of friends over and it took them about 3 hours to get the commode up, figure out what was wrong, pretty obvious, go to the hardware store and get the parts, come back and drill 3 or 4 holes about an inch deeper into the concrete floor, install new Moly Bolts, replace the flange, etc, and then put the commode in place with a new wax ring, viola!
Everything fixed!
Barbie spent several more hours with the Wet 'R' Dry Vac sucking up all the water she could and then fixed one of our large floor fans where it could safely blow on the floor all night helping it too dry.
Since about noon or so today we can walk on the bathroom floor without getting our socks wet on the carpet.

Ed somehow I've managed to lose some days or something as this is the first time I've seen this and although I'm not subscribed to this thread I thought I was keeping up on all the threads here in the Cantina. If you've written I haven't received it for some reason so to make it easier to email me you can write me @ this address.... yvsa *at* sbcglobal.net .... Just replace the *at* with the *@* symbol, without the ** and the spaces of course, and you'll be good to go.;) :D

If that don't prove that if anything can go wrong at the least expected moment it will.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time though...and that is what's important.

Still sending smoke.....as having a good time almost always has it's ramifications...LOL.

Nope ya didn't miss a thing... with the boys spending Thanksgiving with their dad, Ed and I spent most of Thurs.-Sat. either relaxing, working about the house to get ready for the Winter Solstice/ Christmas, or braving the mall to do a bit of shopping for the boys. It's a curse, do too much and your down for a day trying to get the pain under control... do too little and you go CRAZY.
With Ed and I both being a "Type A" personalities, it drives us crazy to just sit and do nothing... but it also becomes a problem when we try to just do things like we used to do pre-injuries and the Back (Ed) or the C-spine (Myself) acts up and puts us on our Ars, reminding us that things are NOT normal.

I'm sure Ed will post soon with more on the whole story.

Hope things are going well for you!

Blessed Be!
Willow & DocH
