The reason I'm posting this is because of the amount of email I received regarding my dad. So rather than tell this story 50 separate times I decided to post it here once. Now, as soon as I get this posted it's back to answering email. Stay tuned. I'll be putting up 4 or 5 special deals of the day. MANY THANKS FOR CONSIDERATION, CONCERN AND PRAYERS!!!!!

Sunday, my 91 year old Dad, Frank, was having trouble breathing (only about 80 years a smoker) so sister, Frances, who lives nearby took him to the ER at St. Johns in Springfield, MO (only a few blocks away). Tests indicated that he has suffered a mild heart attack. No major procedures required but I suspect he'll be on heart meds until something finally takes him down.
After some appropriate meds Dad was feeling fine and decided he would go home. He pulled out all the IVs and was trying to get dressed to leave when the nurse came in and stopped him. He tried to con (bribe?) her into bringing him a cigarette and told her he would hide in the closet to smoke it so nobody would know. Typical Frank.
I don't think he is ready to quit just yet. I'll know a lot more when I talk with him face to face next week. I need to tell him at least one more time just how much I appreciate all the effort he invested in me. He's one of the good guys, for sure.
Brother Fred said he would call if anything cropped up and I've heard nothing so in this case no news is good news.
