Pulling out iv's, conning nurses, smoking in closets?
Dad sounds like one heck of a guy!

Almost surprised I didn't hear something to the effect that he invited the nurse to join him in the closet for a smoke and that he'd take the rap if they were caught.
Methinks all good signs that he is well on his way to recovery.

Will be praying for both Dad and you and your time together.

Uncle Bill your dad sounds like my grand-aunt. She is about the same age (maybe a year or two younger), still smokes her backward cigarettes, and drinks her home-made moon-shine. Will keep your dad in my prayers.

Sounds like my step-father's grandmother. At age 90-something, her grandsons came out to her farm and took down the windmill. Seems she was in the habit of climbing it herself to grease the gears...
