As many of you know and I'm sure some don't, Paul Basch of A. G. Russell (arguably the most knowledgeable person in the business of custom knives) had a heart attack the weekend before last, and had been lingering in the edge since then.

I just received this email from A. G., who asked me to post it here.

"Paul Basch is awake and breathing on his own. The pneumonia seems to be light. Great News."

That is great news indeed, and I join A. G. in asking for just a few more prayers to help Paul return to full health and vigor.

Thanks,

That is great! Paul is a great guy and one of the best, if not the best guy to knife-trade with in the business.

One of my favorite knife-people-hope he fully recovers!

I just got back from a tour and caught this. I'm still shocked.

I didn't really 'know' Paul Basch, he was just a really nice bearded man whom I met once in a while when I visited AG Russell's. We discussed knives a few times, and his knowledge was paramount. The more I know about him the more I respect him. Hope he'll get well soon.

Thanx for the info GAknife. Thanx to AG as well.

We all wish Paul well on our end and pray for his speedy recovery.

I heard from Rhett on TKCL that Paul had an even better day today. Please keep him in your thoughts and or prayers.
