Update on SpyderHawk and Ronin

The Ronins are already in-country, and the sheaths are being produced. I got this latter info on a thread here on BF regarding the S.P.O.T. sheaths. If I remember correctly, Sal stated on some thread in BF recently that the Ronins should be available sometime in November. I check the Spyderco website every day to check for availability! This is just my $0.02 until Sal or Carlos can reply with more info. I see you live not far from me. Are there any good knife shops out there in FBC? Every time I drive out US 59 there is a new shopping center, restaurant, car dealer, etc. FBC is growing fast!

SpyderHawks arrived this week. They are being numbered for the Collector Program and will start shipping this week or early next. Ronin sheaths are being made and (although I don't have an exact ship date) will be our shortly. Both knives look great!

Joyce, pics might have been out already, but I can't search...

Could we see some pics of the SpyderHawk?

Rex G,

Fort Bend County is growing but it's all sheeple "cosmopolitan". No new knife or gun stores just the usual selection at Academy Sports, Carter Country, and Walmart :(

I buy all my blades on line.

Can't wait for both the Ronin and the SpyderHawk.

Thanks, Roshi. There is not much selection in Houston, either. The best dealer for really cool stuff is Collector's Firearms at the corner of Fondren and Richmond Avenue, but they keep their Spyderco inventory fairly small. I buy much on-line, too, and from fellow forumites by mail.

SP:
It was my mistake to post any pics from a dealer catalog. I was corrected as to the Company's wishes, and acted accordingly (took them down). When Spyderco wants the pics to show up, you can rest assured that you will see them in all their glory.

Hi Hawkbill. The SpyderHawks are here and shipping, so you can repost the pics. Sorry 'bout that, but if we post pics too soon, the sales dept is tied up explaining why they're not available.

We can also post pics of the Carbon Fiber Police model, but they're not in the catalog.

Todd said he'd also put them up on the Website under recent news.

sal.

Thanks, Sal. Sorry for the confusion...I'll be sure to check before throwing pics around from now on.

wait, whats the difference between the spyderhawk and the merlin/harpy? it looks like a regular frn handled hawkbill? is it like a bigger sized harpy?

Yes, bigger overall, with the blade about 4 inches if I recall correctly. The handle will be much like that of the Endura.

Hi Rex. It IS a modified Endura handle. In fact the first 500 or so pieces say Endura on the handle. The slug for the Spyderhawk name is just being made now. an error on our part.
