Update pre-HT blades pg2 ..Need help , want a paracord cutter built into the tang

Just curious, what the application would be, will you have a quick detach sheath then?

It's gotta cut while blade is sheathed and can't have a exposed blade . I plan to use this sheath with it so the Jump Master will let you wear it. http://www.usaknifemaker.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=142&products_id=2962 . I'm actually gonna buy the basic version and add the redundant holes myself but it'll be close to that sheath.

Well here are the two prototypes pre-heat treat . The smaller one will use the cutter in the tang , the slightly bigger one I'm going to put utility blades in the handle on both sides. I'm never going to try to make a tang cutter into the blade again. If I do it will be with a cut out and utility blades . The cut outs are bigger then I wanted as I tried different techniques to try to get a cutting edge. I ended up with a dremel and a diamond bit, still took 2 hours and numb hands , sweat and cursing . A simple cut out of the tang and a utility blade built into the handle seems so good and easier now . Well here they are , pretty ugly cut outs I might go over the one I'm going to use the tang again before HT or I can think up a way to cover it up all together.

...and how will they be able to sharpen it once it gets dull? Utility knife blades are much sharper than you would be able to get the tang, stay pretty sharp, and are easily and universally available.

The blades are going to be stuck in there for good for this one , I'll work on removable handles if I go with this design for more.
