*UPDATE* Tilt Warranty Repair :(

Squawk squawk squawk.

Lighten up Francis. There's any number of reasons his blade was done the way it was done. He said there was a nick in it. They fixed it. You say its a "botched up repair". I'm glad you have the experience to pass this judgement since you never saw the knife and you weren't there.

As for parts for sprint runs, in a perfect world parts would be available for the next 20 years. But its not a perfect world. Kershaw will offer to swap the knife for equal retail value if the customer isn't happy. Fair enough for me, considering I'd bet he didn't pay full retail for it.

And you cancelling your preorder for a LE just means someone else that really wants one will get it. So no harm there. ZT will still sell all they can make, and you can pedal your buggy on down the road.

Yea, that kind of sucks how this turned out for you, but with it being a LE knife, I guess Kershaw can only do so much. This is one reason why I tend to go with popular, tried and true products, they usually have lots of aftermarket support, and replacement parts are many. I would still be unhappy if I was in you position though. Things like this usually upset me for a while, but, you have learned a lesson, I guess this is something to consider when buying a limited run.

I'm not sure this thread has a purpose any longer other than to A: Tell the poster to sell, be happy, or contact Kershaw; Or B: Begin attacks on one another; Or C: Complain. I for one am done with this thread.

OP: Please choose A.

Glad I saw this, cancelling my preorder for a ZT limited edition. Not paying half a grand for a knife which may or may not be serviced later down the road. Reminds me of Sony.

Awesome! Snagged your pre-order! Thanks man, you're the best!

A part is screws, nuts, washers and even blade...This is a Titanium handle of a LE knife. I'm Sure Spyderco doesn't have Ti Military Handles just sitting around or Benchmade has Gold Class parts for repairs either. And also whos the say the knife wasn't messed up by a previous owner/owners..Who Knows? I've probably owned more Tilts then alot of people and all have been Solid as Hell and my DLC user has been through alot of use and is Smooth and Solid as ever.. I'd buy it and use the Hell out of it and I know others who would too. Kershaw Did there best with what they had and I'll always stand by them.

Also this should probably be in the "good, Bad, Ugly" Section
