Updated Collection Pics (Pic Heavy)

Great collection. Now all you need to complete it is the next release. Then the next one after that, ......

Very nice collection. I see the NMFBM has stayed while other big ones have come and gone. What is it about that one you like? I only ask as I'm going to start looking for one soon.

Chris.
The NMFBM is a great knife. As far as choppers, it is the best. Except maybe for the Zillas. I took it on my first backpacking trip and soon realized it was just a bit too heavy for long distance hiking. So I started experimenting with the lighter choppers (BWM, Dog Father, B11 and now 1311). the 1311, DF and the B11 all weigh in between 17-18 oz. you can't beat the chopping power to weight ratio of this when long distance hiking. The Dog Father and B11 were now coming with me on all my trips over 20 miles. Now that I have the 1311 , the Dog Father moved on. The BWM was a bit too heavy compared to the 17 oz B11 but didn't chop as well as the NMFBM so didn't get used much. The FFBM was a tough blade to let go of, but it helped purchase other things and i wasnt using it because I turned to the NMFBM each time since it wasnt a "virgin" any more. I loved both Zillas but only needed one and liked the blade on the zilla 2. If i was going to straight chop, I'd take my Zillas. But the straight blade of the NMFBM is easier for me to baton through larger fire wood when I go car camping. It has thus come with me on every car camping trip so far. It's just a phenomenal blade for camping. It's has length and weight enough to do heavy duty work. I personally think its the best blade Busse has ever made.

These great blades plus my XM-18 folder, RMJ tactical Shrike, MBB-2 sword and my Mission Ti 3incher makes me a very happy blade owner. I def have some wants. I just ordered a Charlie May OSK in SV30. And I'm anxiously awaiting some of the anniversary blades Busse is putting out. I just love good equipment

I too own Hinderers and a Shrike...and await the anniversary releases. That's why I said the want still exists. No matter if you have none or more, the want is hard to curtail.

The blades I wish I hadn't gotten rid of in retrospect are the SAR8 and the TT Zilla. Those were some awesome blades. The main reason I sold them both was because I was living about 50 yards from the foggy Cali coast and the salt water fog was hazardous to the steel. I oil them all the time and they would still get spots. Then I had those things completely coated in Ren Wax ( as you can see from the pics) and I was super paranoid about them rusting. So I pretty much stopped buying anything that was uncoated. Now I moved inland and its not a problem anymore.

Yeah I hear that. I keep telling the wifey that this is the last one. And then the HACK came in yesterday and she was like what the hell is that?! and I said, look how small it is. You can't get mad at me for a small one when I have all these expensive big ones!

Well to say the least, my attempt to make light of a smaller knife purchase didn't work very well.

Good pick up's Cappy!!! How do you like that Rattle Hawk???

I own the Rattle hawk, the RMJ Shrike and the SOG Hawk

I made a semi-funny video of the throwing the rattle hawk in my back yard. I actually posted it on the Busse FaceBook page when they first opened their page. I tried to upload it on here but failed miserably...I will try again. That thing is amazing for throwing because which ever way it lands it sticks. The RMJ is thicker and has more of a "splitting" geometry on the axe head vs the rattlehawk. I would say the rattlehawk is more of a human killer and the RMJ would be better at chopping through a car. But Im sure they would suffice in either position

Good reply Cappy. Thanks.
