...A Large Native???; A Chinook with the same blade-style as the Native...Sal, is there any-chance if this becoming a reality???

About a month or two ago in this forum, buried in the middle of a thread, I remember seeing a pic of several Spydies, some of them protos which were never produced. One was the "large Native" which looked to have about a four inch blade. I think it had black G-10 scales. It looked SWEEEET!

So at least one was made, and some lucky Spydie collector has it!

Other than that, I know nothing else about it.

Except I want one, of course. :)

they called this the "Native Chief" back in the day

NOW THAT'S A NATIVE!!

Would whining and begging and the licking of lips get this beauty into production? :) FRN would be entirely acceptable to me! Hell, AUS-6 with FRN would work!! So you'd have to sharpen it more than CPM 440V or VG-10, who cares????

HOW COULD THAT KNIFE NOT SELL?

Ya, Sal. You already have the tooling from the Bladeforums Blue Native?

Make an ivory micarta special edition. There are enough lunatics here and on your in-house forum to snatch up another run of 300, I am sure. :D

Only need to get rid of 299 more. Can I pre-order now? :)

I'm a sucker for micarta Spydercos. I hope they always keep at least one micarta handled model in production.

no offense to the Chinook fans, but that pic blows the doors off of the Chinook IMHO!

I just have never been enamored with the styling of the Chinook and think a Native "Chief" would out-sell the Chinook at least 2 to 1!

again, just my humble opinion :)

The "Native blade (style) on a Chinook" would be great.

Another run of G10 Natives would rock.

An FRN "Native Chief" would satisfy my latest Native urges...

IT'S TIME FOR MORE NATIVES!

The handwriting is on the wall...:)

Go Native,

Karl

I, too, believe it was called the 'Native Pride'. James Mattis had a nice collection of prototypes there! Whatever happened to the Ulu design?
