I hope I have this in the right forum, newbie here.
I'm researching 2x72 belt sanders. I don't want to go cheap but I can't afford the high end models. I live out in the country with no high speed internet, just satellite internet and it's horrible. I can't watch video reviews. No cell service at home either.
Anyways, what brand 2x72 can I buy with the regular single speed motor but can be upgraded down the road with the Variable speed control?.
Thanks in advance,
Simon

Some of the best bang for your buck would be a Pheer.
Available in 1 and 1.5 hp with VFD for under $1k for the 1.5hp, and likely under $850 for the 1hp.

A single speed would likely land around 6-700.

Thank you for the info. I'm going to check out the website. Have a great day.

Might also look at Oregon Blade Maker on eBay. A full chassis (without drive wheel or motor) is about $600 shipped, IIRC. Drive wheels can be found for about $40, and a used single speed motor will range in price. If you shop around, you might find one for less than $100.

I'm interested in a Pheer grinder. Saving up. He closed orders for about a month and will be releasing new products soon. Gives me time to save more.
