I'm curious about this as well... I'd like to go ahead and upgrade to Platinum but am unsure how to do it... or do I just have to buy the platinum and consider the Gold a loss?

No, you buy the Platinum, then post here, and Spark goes in and adds the months you had on your Gold account to your new Platinum account, prorating them, of course. I had 9 months left on my Gold, so I expect he'll add 4 or 5 months to my new platinum account. Problem is he must be out chasing the lag-monster, because he hasn't responded yet.
