The boxes started showing up on Saturday, but sadly when I started unboxing, it was clear I was missing another box.
The 4th box showed up today and I took some pics while I unboxed and put it together. I even did a redneck horizontal mod.
Here are some boxes:
Seemed to be well packaged:
Laying it all out:
Frame going up:
Drive Wheel and Tension arm added:
Rest of Frame added, toolbar, flat platen, tension spring, tension handle, tracking wheel and adjuster:
This was where I got tired of taking pics at every little step and just started working.
Wiring. Simple, Brett had labled the wire nuts R, B, W, so it was simple to just match 'em up:
Finished:
Horizontal Mod. Not Nearly as clever as most of them, we'll see if it works out.
Video of it in action:

A couple I finished using the Craftsman and Harbor Freight grinders:
Gift for Father in Law. The Walnut is from where we hunt together.
Gift for my father's friend. You've heard of mystery steel. This is mystery wood (Cherry root?)
I hope that now it will take me a lot less time to redo so many mistakes and I might be able to make more than one every 3 or 4 months.
Gratuitous dog shot (uploaded one too many to Photobucket, so just added it for fun)
I can't even really play with it, yet. Besides my day job, I am taking classes and I am now officially way behind because of stopping to put this together. I couldn't help myself. Just HAD to make sure the motor worked, right?
