AKA bird and trout
I used a stock removal method of fabrication on this one from 1/8 inch 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my shop using a digitally controlled furnace to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles for a fine grain throughout the blade
Flat grind
Stabilized oak handle repurposed from a whisky barrel. Please notice the flattened handle at the butt, the little finger wraps nicely over it for comfort and better control. I do this on a lot of my knives and have good feedback from my customers.
Overall length: 8 1/4 inches
Blade: 4 1/4 inches
Oiled leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
SOLD delivered within the US. My email and PayPal account is gldrewknives@gmail.com
Sorry for the tree reflection on the blade. It's raining today and I had to take the photos from the porch.
