Maybe it's just my naivete, but my attempt to employ UPS' services for a delivery to UK has been a thoroughly unpleasant experience. I sent a package thru the local Staples store containing a JWSmith small recurve folder equipped with a disc opener. The package along with the appropriate customs docs. describing the contents as a "tool" was dropped off at Staples on the 31st (Memorial Day) and was picked up early afternoon by UPS on the 1st. Mid-morning on the 2nd, the Brown truck was at my door , returning the now opened package with a "Return To Shipper" notice. The notice indicted the reason for return was that the package contained a "flipper knife". Apparently UPS has their own internal definition of "illegal" knives. I'm informed that the refund of my shipping fees will take four to six weeks due to the Staples/UPS contract and subsequent policy regarding returns. To add insult to injury, I took the now repackaged knife to the PO and asked them directly re: their policy for over-seas mailing of said knife. They had me open the package, and examined the knife, pronounced it "no problem" and promptly shipped it...at a substantially reduced cost I might add! Moral....you might want to re-think your decisions to use UPS in future...I know I will.

Yup UPS suck salty donkey nads.

I use regular post nearly all the time, its not only cheaper and easier it dosent take that much longer.

I had a horible experience with UPS where I got shafted royally. Well PHUCK them they won't get another red cent from me.

I don't have to re-think my decision to use UPS. I never use them. I have always had good luck with the Postal Service and will continue to ship that way.

Fedex aint too bad neither. Plus if it's 1 minute late it's free. And as far as I know they just follow local customs rules and don't impose many of their own on what you can ship.

Yep. Same here.

UPS is the worst to use to send any thing worth any thing. When is the last time you had to sign for a 100+ dolor shipment unless you coded it?

Friend downt he street and this was recent got in 200 dolors pluss of reloading supplies and a secound 50 dolor shipment stolen off his door step. Caught the guy doing it ups just seen no one was there and left it on the steps. Fact was he was there they just didnt want to take the time to knick on his door. I had soem computer fans destroyed by miss handling by ups .

I never UPS for overseas shipping, USPS Global Express we have never had a problem with. Contents are always marked "hand tools". It gets there too. Cavelady
