I treated myself to some after Christmas gifts. 1. Maxpadition Proteus (Will be used as my Truck/Hiking Survival Kit Container.2 Fallkniven F1 (Very nice little fixed blade) 3. Fenix L2D Flashlight(This is my first Fenix, I plan to get a few others later, Rome was not built in a day! Damn!!! )and 4. Kabar Large Dozier Folder.
OK! I love all the goodies I bought myself, just want to talk about the Kabar Large Dozier, Knife is kinda heavy because the blade is 1/8 thick, is Razor sharp and fit and finish is perfect with the blade on center as well. Yes I know what you are thinking ( it is made in taiwan) but for $28.00 bucks this knife is a bargain.
So all you guys out there who want to put together a good outdoor kit but are short on funds, look at this knife.
A good cheap combo would be SAK, Kbar Large Dozier, Fallkniven F1, Bahco Laplander SAW and a Fiskars Hatchet, all can be had for about $200.00 bucks and cheaper if you get some of it on sales.
