AAAArrrrgggghhhh!!!
We all know that waiting for a new toy in the mail is agony. Sure, it's fun to run to the mailbox every day with the hope that your prize will be there, but UPS is killing me here. I check the tracking number on their website daily (ok, so I check it more than once per day) and at this rate, I'll get my package next year.
C'mon, how long does it take to get a package across a couple states?
USPS priority mail is at least twice as fast!

Thanks for letting me vent. :(

TOTC,

Thanks ALOT ! As of tomorrow, I'll be waiting on a couple of items that will be sent to me via UPS, that I bought at eBay.

So, now I guess MY wait begins...:(.

UPS started taking ten days to deliver my stuff so I tried USPS Priority Mail. I found it very fast and as a result, I've been using them almost exclusively for the last few months. It seems to go in cycles. At one time UPS was the fastest.

Oh yes, UPS is surely on the slippery slope, and they are gaining speed...
I had a delivery scheduled for the 24th, but of course it got rescheduled, reason unknown.
And never mind the "hiding" the package under my little door mat, ringing the bell, and then running back to the truck...:(

USPS on the other hand was kind enough to deliver my new Strider AR yesterday, on Memorial Day :D Shipped Overnight Express of course, with delivery on Sunday's and Holidays at no extra charge.

Yaaaaaahhh !!! As a retired USPS manager, I love to hear about the post office doing the job right, but ... although I haven't had a problem with Priority Mail going or coming, I haven't had a problem with UPS coming to me, either.

Of course, I find Priority Mail to be much more convenient. :D

Unfortunately, all these deliveries are subject to Murphy's Law, and it can be hard to know sometimes why your very own precious package had to be the one to get Murphied.

I would strongly suggest, while we all want to know who's messing up lately, that you also and especially complain to the company. They may babble silly things at you, but they may also look at their own operation and fix what's broken.

I know that detailed complaint-tracking in the Postal Service, like safety-tracking, was a constant in managers' discussions. If we don't tell them, you can bet the lower-level guys who are messig up won't tell them ...

They really hate me.

According to the UPS online tracking, my package arrived at the local hub at 4:53AM today. I figured, "great, I'll get my package this evening! After all, it can't take more than 12 hours to sort my package and deliver it from a location five minutes away." Apparently, that was too much to ask.
Checking on the tracking again later this evening, I see that my package went "out for delivery" at 7:52PM. Huh? Unless they plan on delivering my package at midnight, that's just plain wrong. But hey, it only took 15 hours for my package to be loaded from one truck to another.

Sorry again for the sarcastic rant, but this just screams of incompetence.

I have e-mailed a complaint to UPS with all relevant details and tracking info.

How does this make any sense?

TOTC, I would be interested to see what they say.

Meanwhile... what fabulous new toy are you waiting for?

Well, with the stink I'm making about this, you'd think I was waiting for a $500 custom :D But nope, just a $50 Spyderco Worker. I am excited, though. After all, it was the first Spyderco ever made. No matter the price, when UPS makes me wait for a toy, they hear about it! :D

If anyone is still following this:

A got an email response to my complaint a little over an hour after I submitted my form on the website. Well that's great, right? Wrong! It was a form letter that explained how their internet tracking system should be read and basically insulted my intelligence.

The package finally showed up today. Of course, it should be noted that another package showed up from USPS that was shipped about four days later from the same relative distance. So in my fairly unscientific testing, I would say that USPS is currently four days ahead of UPS in delivery times. Make of it what you will.

know what's even better?Fedex second ay air.Or ups second day air.Not much more than regulad delivery and ALWAYS gets there on time
