UPS man just left after dropping off a nice package for me.
My knives from the 70% off offer just arrived. Pretty quick arrival
considering it was free shipping.
I ordered 2 of the Siris knives that were on sale. Total cost was less
then the cheapest that I've seen listed for just 1 on the net.
I've never seen the Siris in person before, and I'll say I'm impressed.
The pictures I've seen don't do them justice, and mine don't do much
better, but they sure are a pleasure to look at.
I opened both boxes, and both knives are identical. Both blades are
perfectly centered, and they lock up tight. The safety is firm and
doesn't wobble, and with the design I don't think you would ever accidentally
release the safety.
Both knives are sufficiently fast with their spring assist. I'd say they deploy
easily as fast as any of my 1/2 dozen Kershaw assisted knives, and the
blades on my Siris are bigger then any of my Kershaw blades, so in reality,
they would probably be faster then a Kershaw if they were the same size.
I read quite a few reviews on youtube about these knives and that's why
I mention the above two facts. I read that the knives were kind of slow
to open, and that the safety was flimsy and didn't stay locked. Those
must have been early models, because neither of mine exhibit those characteristics.
Just as my other 2 BUCK's have been paper shredders, and easily sharp enough to shave with, the Siris are too.
These seem to be very nice knives that have some heft to them, and fit
the hand very well. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
I got the last pics in just as rain started to fall!!!
Regards Sonny
