I used UPS to send a package to send a package to Canada for the first time, they have served me very well lately for domestic so i thought let's try them internationally. Package left mid east coast 12.03.01 and arrived 12.19.01, sixteen days deliver to BC,CA

Had some slight problems once across the border and out of customs, but the package did finally arrive at its destination.

Is this an appropriate delivery time? Shipping internationally doesn't use the UPS ground service which guarantees seven to ten business days, it's another method called international standard which doesn't have a specified delivery time.

I'm honestly just asking for future reference if this is the usual and expected delivery time for something from U.S. to CA.

Thanks

I only had to deal with UPS once, receiving a package from the US. It took 15 days between shipping date and the package being delivered to my door. They did slap a hefty $24 customs brokerage fee on me(for a $40 package).
On the other hand, I had USPS packages get here in 4 days...
