UPS TRAIN WRECK! - Will there be proof of INFI superiority? - or horror?

Evltcat, thanks and glad yours made it intact!
(and I thought I was being so clever with this thread . . . never occurred to me to do a search for INFI and train derailment before going with it  )

Yep...as I said before...this will keep happening till they learn to not pack all the INFI on one side of the carriage...!!!!

INFI is truly superior! Survived the train derailment just fine. Nary a ding or scratch. However, there was a surprise . . . the ASHBM I ordered and which I was told was in the mail showed up as what I can only presume to be an ultra-rare variant. Mini-ASHBM
I am new to this, so y'all will have to tell me :)
I will try to post a pic in a new thread.

Thanks for all the support!

nerv102, ok, my little joke is busted :) And I just discovered I can't post a photo without upgrading - again, I am new here and did not know. I will look into doing that because I want to share back with folks who have been so good as to help me with pics.

Yep, received an AMS  Not entirely a mistake, though. I ordered both an AMS and an ASHBM in muddy/tan canvas. The email and my Busse account said the ASHBM was shipped, so that was the one I was expecting. The UPS package looked a tad small, though, and it was the AMS. I just need to make sure Busse corrects the info so the next one will be my ASHBM and not another AMS!

So this is my FIRST Busse! - and my first impressions are quite good. With the full, un-tapered tang and heavy canvas micarta slabs, she is heavier thank my otherwise comparable knives, and balanced back into the grip further. This is not a bad thing, just the first thing that leaps out. It does make it feel SECURE in hand, which is accentuated by the deeply recessed handle profile. This is actually something that attracted me to the AMS (and the now sought-after Boss Jack). I liken the grip to that of old paring knives that I have, and I like it! This naturally throws the thumb onto the spine in a very secure and comfortable manner. Although of course, the AMS lacks a full choil, the design allows one to choke up on the blade using the top/side of the talon hole with the middle finger securely resting in the top recess of the grip, and the pad of one's thumb resting against the large, hollow, upper fastener space. Neat. Lots of useable grip options! And the dimpled canvas has a wonderful and secure feel. I prefer a handle that is long enough for my XL hands, and *finally* here's a small knife that fits in any grip.

The knife came hair-popping sharp, contrary to some criticisms I have heard over the years (. . . though one can always learn to sharpen I knife - ahem . . .), and the bevel clearly appears to be a very smoothly rendered partial convex. I am very impressed with the shop's attention to the stock edge profiling and sharpening of this knife (Thanks, Beef!). Fit and finish is quite good, with a very smooth scale to spine fit. No rough areas around the hollow fasteners.

I LIKE IT, ladies and gentlemen! "NO REGRETS!" :):D And though I am of course not a hog, I now feel like a member of the tribe. As well, I can't wait for the matching ASHBM, my Skystorm sheaths, and the Boss Jack I now gotta find to round out this set.

Now to cut some stuff and see what I think of the ballyhoo'd INFI . . . .

Godson visited a couple of weeks ago....latest update is that I have to order him an AMS soon, and no, not just any AMS but one just like mine (hand shaped G10 and spacers).... ;)

WoW....Who knew that the Mighty Mini AMS could derail a train...I can see it with the ASHBM...Chalk another one up for MINI INFI!!!!!!!! :D

Congrats on the AMS...

DOH...Double tap

You can still post pix, just get an account at photobucket and use it as your hosting site. You'll see a "

Hey, we know for a fact that a Steel Heart E can survive a house explosion in the same closet with the TNT! A derailment should be no problem.

I forgot who the current owner is but a reposting of the picture would be nice.

WHAT.....Tri-Nitro-Tolulene in the closet not in the Pantry???:D

A house explosion? Wow - I would like to see that, too!
Andy - very cool gift for a godson. How can one resist to feed a good, responsible kid's desire for that?!
Shrapnelwound, you bet! As soon as the big bro' comes, I will probably have figured out how to do that - thanks to Muphasta's guidance :):thumb up: I am REALLY looking forward to this muddied up pair!
