So I ordered a Spyderco and in state shipping was free, via UPS. Got notified delivery would be today. Sat by the door all morning and just now got an email that I’m not home so I’ll have to pick it up at a local parts store (breaking quarantine) Monday. Lying driver once again. With pols neutering USPS it’s going to be hard to justify any further on line purchases and I’m “at risk” so b&ms are out.

Can you call and request a re-delivery. Tell them you were sitting home all day waiting and the guy didn’t drop it off? Tell them you can’t go out?

BTW, why didn’t he just leave it? Here, they leave anything and everything even if signature is required. They often don’t ring bell either.

You could do what I’ve done with UPS. Create an account and use the option to sign for all packages electronically. They will then leave all packages. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

I’m sure you have enough knives to tide you over till things are back up and running in a normal fashion.

It sounds like the driver just didn't bother to go by his place, and marked the package as "can't deliver" for whatever reason. I'd say it's probably laziness, but there might be valid reasons for it.

This happens to me time to time, not just with UPS but the other services as well. Tracking will suddenly go from "out for delivery" to "can't deliver - no one home"... except that I have a doorbell camera that would have captured anyone walking up to my doorstep to check.
