I dunno, I like my Oyabun Limited . . . especially for the price paid. It's design aesthetic, look and feel are very, very different from my other knives. Not necessarily better, but a refreshing change of pace when I carry. Big shortcoming is the use of soft, polished aluminum bolsters. Horrible scratch magnets. Everything else is tip-top.
Unexpectedly bought the $100 AD-10 a month or so ago. Why? Because it was there, of course! Don't know that I'll ever carry the damn thing, though. Just a bit too much knife for me. Great for choppin' cardboard, though. And for $100, why not?
I, too, have been tempted by the $200 4Max, but I find it massive for the sake of being massive. To buy it would be to compound the folly of having purchased the $100 AD-10. I am, after all, getting older (not to mention poorer), so I'm trying to be more rational in my purchases. That said, I do check back on the 4Max from time to time to see how well I handle temptation. Haha.
Ain't this a great hobby?
