Upset, send 'em back?

Why is that bump on the ZT considered normal?? It obviously isnt correct. The fact that they all have them makes me wonder why ZT quality control would accept that??? I wouldnt accept that at a $100.00 price point.
Ehh, ZT doesn't make those particular scales. Those are from Hnderer.

The PT is in the mail on it's trip back to the dealer. Perfect excuse/rationalization to exchange for a large Sebenza.:D What the hell, it's only a few more bucks, lol.

Good choice, you'll notice the quality in that one. They actually pay attention to fit and finish, as any company selling $400 knives should.

Why is it obviously not correct? I don't see any reason why it impedes performance, and every knife I've seen has it, so I'd say it obviously is correct. Just the way they chose to design and machine that part.

My after-market hinderer scale on the 0551 is like that as well, but if you notice the original scale from ZT, the overall choil is more steep than the section that has been sanded down to allow for more of a transition to the thumb stud for opening. So ya, since the side by side bevel on the after-market scale's choil is the same angle and where they meet creates that funky transition point, it does look more like an oops moment.

I would, as recommended by someone else, just take some sandpaper to it and smooth it out if it bothers you that much. Whether that warrants a return, I don't think so.

The strider on the other hand...
