This is the chopper that I planned on submitting to the W&SS Challenge for Extreme Urban Survival. With the baby coming in a few days, I could use the money more than just having the knife sitting around. It is a beast that I have named The GroB which means large, massive, oversized, unrefined. I found that name to be perfect. Here it is:

Chris,

An early congrats on the incoming baby. Looks like you have hit upon another winner with the GroB!

2 minutes!? Wow. I have it's twin brother and I can tell you it chops even better than you would think. Congratulations.

I'm looking forward to it, though I'll have to wait until it cools down just a tad before I go out and try it on much of anything. In the current heat, it'd likely be used as a stretcher to bring me back out. :D There was a similar idea (different design but same idea) that I waffled over at a show, once, and damned if it didn't disappear while I was waffling. This time, I figured I'd better jump.

Thanks for all of the kind words and encouragement. I am getting ready to order some more steel to make a couple more choppers. Looks like it might be worthwhile.
