Urge to get into Axes

Well I have taken the first step to getting a couple of these heads up and operational. I know it has taken a while but sometimes life gets in the way of our plans. I placed an order with House Handles for a 28" cruiser and two 30" double bit, all with octagonal shaping and no lacquer. I am going to start with the no name double bit, then the plumb and will hopefully be starting to get the hang of things when I tackle the Zenith cruiser. Will keep this thread up to date with photos and progress when the handles arrive.
 
Can't wait to see the outcome on those! A lot of really beautiful finds.

The postman brought me a nice package from House Handle today and while they arn't perfect they are extremely nice and will only require minimal fine tuning. The handles came exactly as ordered and met all requested specifications. If I can get home tomorrow before the sun goes down I will post up pictures of the handles as received.
