I've searched the net high and low for a "US Army" marked gift set/knife that isn't total chinese pot metal crap and I can't find a single thing worth a darn. Anyone have info on a decent maker?

The only knife made that's marked us marked knife issued by the army is the camillus pocketknife, which, I've never seen issued to anyone I know, when I was in...

It doesn't have to be an official issue knife or even a great user. Just a decent commemorative with some sort of US Army marking or design/insignia.

Thanks for those links.

I'm looking for something like this from a real knife maker. These sets are all total crap but this is the theme I'm looking for.

Buy a plain stainless handled folder (I'd recomend a Spyderco, but that can get pricey) and bring it to your local "Things Remembered" store. They sell all kinds of personalized, monogrammed and engraved items. They have a book full of "stock" engravings (they are all done by laser/computer), which includes the official crest of each military branch.

I was going to recommend a Kabar with US ARMY stamped on the blade, but the idea of a SS Spyderco is an even better idea. If it's going to be used, go with an Endura or Police, if it's a shelf knife, get a Delica.
