US vs Non US Gold member price?

I need to renew my membership. I click on the link in the e-mail sent giving me notice to renew (nice faeture), click the 1 year Gold option for $25USD but then notice the Non-US link above it. I click that one and the price goes up to $30USD.

Is this because the transaction is done manually? Is this an error? Or do paying non-US BFC members actually have to pay more for their memberships?

Yes.

However, one of our Canadian members kept trying the automatic system over and over using several different credit cards and he finally got it to work for him. Of course how long it took him to save $5 and how much his time might be worth are other questions ... still, you might want to try it.

Well I couldn't remember how I did it last year so I thought I would ask.

I just used the auto form with zero problems so I am set for another year!
