USA made AAA flashlights?

The Arcs are cool but the truth is I'm just not that impressed by them or any of the Peaks really. I'm sure the quality is nice but I like having multiple output modes like my L1 Lumamax. I think I'll just get over it and get a Maratac. It wins in all of my catagories except country of manufacture. Oh well. Maybe someday Surefire will make a AAA powered light but I doubt it.

You will not be let down by this choice.

There is a right flashlight for the right task and for the right person:p

Good luck on your search

Years ago I wanted an Arc AAA after reading about them on here but the sinlge thing that kept me from biting was the 5.5 lumen output.

I do love my little Maratac though , while maybe not as sturdy as the Arc the different levels of light output suits my work and home tasks well, also rides nicely in the jeans watch pocket :) I took the clip off the first day I had it. Good observation though on the hat trick :D

For the past three years I've been using a Peak LED Solutions Kino Bay flashlight. I've been very very impressed and happy with the light. Decent run time off the AA, a tiny bit bulkier than an AAA, but the light output is impressive. Very rugged built, as it's been rattling around in my pocket bumping against my pocket knife and other stuff.

If something happened to it, I'd go buy one just like it from Peak. The Peak Matterhorn is also very nice, and is AAA. Plus they are built in the USA by Americans.
