USA made

Queen, Buck, GEC

GEC has some patterns over $100 and some under. It depends on what you're looking for.

GEC, Queen, Buck, several others. A forum search, as well as a Google search should produce some results. And "quality" is a relative term, often tied to cost, or at least perceived value. ;)

You could also check the vendors area who carry many of the knives favored by the members here.

Higher valued used models can also be had that are still in nice condition at a reduced price.

If you were a bit more specific in what you had in mind, model wise, you may get better answers too.

No these answers where more than acceptable. Pretty much what I have found in my searches. I guess I just need to pull the trigger on one now

I'd go for a GEC that comes in under 100; they are great knives. Also, depending on your options, you can get a Custom Shop Buck for just under $100. Not too shabby...

Maybe GEC is the way to go. I have been pouring over there selection. I was having trouble finding the right combination of size to configuration/style.

If you're planning on buying one knife that you use every day and not become a collector, absolutely DO NOT buy a GEC. I came here last summer to find one knife because that's all any sane person would ever need. I went with a GEC and now I'm shopping for a larger case to store my knives in because my collection is outgrowing it's home. :grumpy:

Lol, this will be my first time buying a knife above the $50 - 60 range. In my years of carry so far I've go through pocket clip knives to realize that I much more prefer the in the pocket carry knives. After carrying various sak's I decided that maybe a traditional folder is more for me. Traditionals are now my favorite now deciding which style I prefer. Seeing how large the selection is at GEC it's a bit overwhelming lol. I can see where this might lead me to a large case of knives and a small bank account 😂

LOL! :D

A GEC 73 Single Blade is a great EDC Knife. Also would make a good "baseline" knife from which to get an idea what you're tastes are. Reasonably priced, in the $70 range. Be advised that they do have a stout backspring, around an "8" give or take.

The thread is titled "USA Made"

Which is why I did not mention Rough Rider/Colt/Taylor-Schrade/Marbles. Way too many patterns to choose from (Rough Rider) and all made in China (Buck has some China made as well, but they come with the "FOREVER" warranty, same as their USA made knives.)
