You might also consider Utica Cutlery. An old, traditional Manufacturer from New York. They have a nice selection of folders available in Stainless or Carbon Steel. And moderately priced.
I'm really interested in the GEC #15 I think it is called the farmboy. Know anything about that particular knifeA GEC 73 Single Blade is a great EDC Knife. Also would make a good "baseline" knife from which to get an idea what you're tastes are. Reasonably priced, in the $70 range. Be advised that they do have a stout backspring, around an "8" give or take.
I will take a look at what they are offering. Thanks for suggesting, I've never heard of this companyYou might also consider Utica Cutlery. An old, traditional Manufacturer from New York. They have a nice selection of folders available in Stainless or Carbon Steel. And moderately priced.
The 15's are a great knife, another "baseline" knife, smaller than the 73. The "Farm Boy" version of the 15 is probably only available on the secondary market.I'm really interested in the GEC #15 I think it is called the farmboy. Know anything about that particular knife
Although the parent company is from Japan, Kershaw makes some really good USA made knifes. I have one of their scallions, and my father has one of their chives, and they are great. They are MSRPed at $75, but I have seen them for as little as $34 on Walmart.com. They are good quality knives.
Do you want assisted opening or not? I know some states have laws against them, so I would like that clarified if you happen to know.
